Eagle Bay II Homeowners Association HOA - Tyler Pearsall

Eagle Bay II Homeowners Association

ABOUT

Eagle Bay II is a gated community on the shores of Indiana’s largest body of water, Lake Monroe. Located just a few miles southeast of Bloomington, Eagle Bay and Eagle Bay II are among only a few neighborhoods that border the large reservoir.

Eagle Bay II had no website, logo, or branding of any kind. The homeowners association approached me for a website, and I whipped them up a free, quick logo to go along with it.

They previously were using their personal email addresses for communication, so I convinced them to let me set up generic “@eaglebay2.com” email boxes for each of the HOA board member positions, which can be passed along as members come and go.

The City Eatery Kansas City Food Truck

The City Eatery

ABOUT

The City Eatery is a Kansas City area food truck serving up some seriously delicious, casual eats. Most of the menu is centered around Cajun cuisine, but they have several other options like Philly cheesesteaks, corn dogs, and unique sides.

I have intentionally built and designed most of their projects in a way so they’re able to update and manage them after I’ve finished.

Barley & Rye Bistro

Barley & Rye Bistro

ABOUT

Barley & Rye Bistro opened its doors in downtown Moline, Illinois during the spring of 2013. They were one of the top restaurants in the Quad City area, and were best known for their local farm-to-table fare prepared “skillfully & playfully”. It really was an awesome restaurant. The owners decided to close their doors in early 2020, not due to a lack of patrons. I established their brand and handled all things marketing (digital and print) when they were first getting started.

Salon Breeze

Salon Breeze

ABOUT

Salon Breeze is an Aveda concept salon and spa located in Chapel Hill, NC. Opened in May of 2015, they provide their guests with high end salon products and services. Salon Breeze sports an upscale, inviting environment for anything from haircuts and styles to relaxing massages. I got my haircut there and it was awesome. In 2014 I helped the new business with establishing a brand.

Then, after 8 years, their web hosting expired and the old site was lost for good. So in 2022 I built them a brand new, fairly simple website by request. I think it turned out great, and most importantly, they were very pleased with it.

Logoish was one of my personal projects. It was an E-commerce site selling stock logos created by yours truly. I built this in 2016, and had I put some paid adverts toward it, I think it would have been successful.

(re)Branding

Around a year into my tenure (2012) I took it upon myself to make some much-needed updates to the company’s semi-undefined branding in any free-time I could find. Since the company’s inception in ’03, customers were being presented with pixelated & stretched logos, red Comic Sans body copy, and any other styles the staff member involved saw fit. I started with the logo…

Ugly, but I understood the impact of a complete rebranding, so I brought it into the 21st century by creating a 3D version. Of course there would be situations where a 3D logo would not work well, such as small print or 1-color, so I created a flat alternate which provided an organic, lively option when compared with the original. As the design trend has tended to shift more toward flat/vector layouts in the past few years, we’ve been using the 2D version more frequently.

After approval of the new logos, I went on to create a branding guideline document to pass on to any third party companies who would be including Route 66 RV Network in their advertising. Once approved, it was spread around the office and put an end to the red Comic Sans and other unsightly creations. This began a previously unseen era of brand recognition, and along with other changes, the company’s B2C membership programs started seeing significantly increased renewal rates.

Seavick Group

ABOUT

Seavick Group developed proprietary tax software tailored for labor unions. This was a startup that sadly did not last, however, its software is still in use by a handful of labor unions in the midwest. In 2011 I established their brand and managed everything marketing.
